Ozark-St Francis National Forests Hiking:Backpacking

But over the last few years my wife and I are into longer hikes. We hike anywhere from 3 to 4 miles at a time up to 7 miles with a goal of a 10-mile round trip day hike. Sometimes it’s a single trail or we combine multiple trails at a state park. Even on the best of trips, I usually learn of things I should have done differently, often related to travel distance, packing, or food. Some sections have restrictions on their use in order to be compatible with the goals and purposes of the various public and private landholders whose property the trail crosses. Horseback riding, mountain biking, or trail side camping may be restricted in certain environmentally sensitive areas.
During these longer hikes I found it useful to have a large hiking bag and not just a school backpack. Generally, you get what you pay for when you purchase cheap hiking gear. But I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the Ozark Trail 45 Liter Backpacking Backpack. The Kachemak Daypack is a great everyday backpack that’s chock full of technical features for when you want to get outdoors. It’s equipped with a laptop sleeve that doubles as a hydration pack pouch. This backpack also has a handy bottom compartment that’s perfect for carrying shoes or a sleeping bag. I pack needed items in small containers when possible to save weight. For this reason, we do not guarantee the exact delivery time; the delivery issue is the responsibility of the shipping company. This high quality sphere tent can sleep nine people comfortably — and it costs less than lots of single-person tents on the market. In addition to an easy setup, you'll be blown away every time you realize you can fit two queen airbeds inside. The mesh windows can be sealed or opened in the morning to let the sunlight in while keeping the bugs out.
